"The state will give every adult $5000 if they choose a Republican House and Senate again" - you then go on to say "Presumably payment would depend on proof..of the duly completed ballot paper". My understanding is that the payment applies not to how an individual vote is cast, but as to how the constituency votes. You vote Republican but get a Democrat senator - no pay out; you vote Democrat but get a Republican senator, enjoy your riches.

Surely even Trump is not after photos of vote slips?

Nothing will change while the state is the provider, as well as judge and jury

But what incentive is there for much of the public sector to offer a better service? If one of the Labour Party's objects as stated is to expand the public sector, and the largely unionised work force aligns with this view, as it is inclined to, productivity will not improve. Look at ONS's data.

This is a whataboutism article which is poor. Trump’s $5k proposal is blatantly trying to bribe voters and it’s particular stupid as voters should know the money just comes from tax payers or debt, so just future voters. Yes the left is also bad, but focus on their specific policies as the hook. Don’t try to exonerate trump

Thank you Mr. Redwood for your thoughts which are consistenly insightful and realistic. Sadly no one in the MSM nor in your former party, the Tory's - not conservatives - is listening or reading.
