Great lecture - one correction: the precursor to the modern skyscraper was indeed in England, but far from London. It was built in the heart of the Industrial Revolution, in Shrewsbury. Internal migration is a topic very few people cover, but it is worth developing and I think will write an article on it at some point; but the short answer it is self perpetuating. “House sterling” does cause house prices to be high and this is largely a result of low interest rates; which I cover in my book. There are numerous other issues
