Wow. Things I had never experienced nor thought of before!

I EARNED my Money by working hard. It is therefore MINE.

If I put it into a bank, it is because I think they will care for me, and return it whenever I want. In the meantime I recognise, and am OK with, they will add it to all their accounts and somehow make a profit on the total at an overnight interest rate. And that is my total knowledge of money, banking and even economics!!

However, without my work, and others, there would eventually be no money because we all need food and automated waste collection of course! Which is where The UK Govt has gone, because of lack of Business understanding and Thought within itself, for they seem only to spend the money they collect in taxes, not EARN it, nor HELP business earn it.

The UK motorcycle industry collapsed because it had "no" money to invest in R&D and thus technically compete with the 1960's Multi-cylinder power of the Italian and Japanese Motorcycles - maybe because they were run by enthusiastic engineers not business people, who KNOW that you need to make a 25%+ profit to survive. So the Long Term was "Missing" in British Motorcycles, and in Govt too!

A Ford Engineering said with the intro of the Mk3 Escort "You can't stay ahead by standing still." Thus, R&D investment is always required in any business that wants to compete and sell its products "for ever".

The 10% maximum profit that UK MoD would only allow for the RR Tornado AeroEngine Project Design and Development Work, was why RR had to go for the AirlIner market with a New Big Civil Engine the RB211, where they could Compete and "Command" their own Profit Margins. Note here that the RR bankruptcy in 1971 was because the RR Board did not TELL the engineers to stop spending on R&D, and go with what they already had available. A Board finance bankruptcy, NOT an Engineering technology one Mr UK Govt!

The UK Govt has never understood business, as if it was a Dirty Word. I would far rather work inside Big Tech non-electronic Business, with its strong drive to survive, than anywhere in the Uk Govt with its total Lack of Discipline, Financial and Otherwise! It does not even comply with its own Nolan Principles.....
